The Metropolitan Opera

Giacomo Puccini’s bittersweet love story, La Rondine, is this week’s live broadcast performance. Soprano Angel Blue stars as the French courtesan Magda opposite tenor Jonathan Tetelman (in his highly-anticipated company debut) as Ruggero, an idealistic young man who offers her an alternative to her life of excess. Maestro Speranza Scappucci conducts with soprano Emily Pogorelc and tenor Bekhzod Davronov completing the sterling cast as Lisette and Prunier.

Shakespeare in The Rose

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company returns to The Rose in June with A Midsummer Night’s Dream!

The uproarious, magic-filled tale follows what happens when humans and fairies meet in the mysterious wood outside of Athens. Pigeon Creek performed the play in 2012 for their first visit to The Rose and are thrilled to bring it back. A Midsummer Night’s Dream will delight audiences of all ages.
