Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon, MI is hosting the 3nd Annual “Vintage Camper Gathering” with an Open House, Saturday, June 7th, 2014 from 11:00am – 4:00pm. The Lake Michigan shoreline has always been a big draw for campers from all parts of the country, and it remains so today. Join us the first weekend in June as we relive some of those fond memories with the Vintage Camper and RV Gathering at P.J. Hoffmaster State Park. There will be over 90 vintage campers and RV's spending the weekend in the park, with a free public open house on Saturday, June 7th. Campers and day visitors will be able to tour trailers from the 1930's to the 1980's and get a look at the evolution of camping in West Michigan first hand. Makes such as Airstream, Spartan, Vagabond, Shasta, Holiday Rambler, and Serro Scotty will be on display along with many others. This year’s rally will feature a campground-wide potluck and live entertainment open to all campers. Whether you can visit the open house on Saturday or spend the weekend camping alongside these beautifully restored camping trailers we hope to see you at P. J. Hoffmaster State Park this June! Campers with a vintage trailer, tent or RV wishing to participate in the Open House are encouraged to make reservations and camp in or near campsites 133 – 230.
