Date: 10/29/2015 Time: 5:00 PM TO 7:00 PM 200 Harvey Street Muskegon, MI 49442 Phone: 2317673613 Event Description: Career Tech Center celebrates ten years of serving Muskegon County during Fall Open House Explore high-tech classrooms and labs, enjoy student-made refreshments, and meet Producer Joe from the WGRD morning show live on-site during an open house and anniversary celebration at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center (MACTC) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015. This year marks the MACTC’s tenth anniversary of serving Muskegon County students. Community members are invited to meet students and staff while touring the 73,000 square-foot career and technical education facility that serves over seven hundred high school students each day. The state-of-the-art Graphic Production Technologies Lab will be open for guests to tour, and student-designed projects created there will be on display and available for purchase. Free tastings of the recipe that Catering & Culinary Management students featured at Chef Prize will be available in the new Food Theory lab. Off-campus classes (Cosmetology and Construction Trades) will also be represented on the main campus. Visitors interested in seeing the progress at this year’s Construction Trades home, as well as several past student-built homes, may travel a mile and a half away to 2476 Chestnut Trail. Instructors will be at the home to answer questions while students offer demonstrations. Directions: 200 Harvey Street on the corner of Harvey and Stebbins next to the wind turbine.
