Event Description: The “Concert for Human Rights,” featuring music of the world paired with quotations of leaders in the human rights movement, will take place on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 3 p.m. in MCC’s Overbrook Theater. The concert is free and open to the public. A donation will be taken in honor of The Hope Project, whose mission is to raise awareness of human trafficking and to bring restoration and healing from its effects. Performing will be MCC’s College Singers and Collegiate Choir under the direction of Thomas Clark and accompanied by Dr. Solee Lee-Clark and Cheryl Lohman. Joining the musicians will be community leaders lending their voices in the reciting of quotations by Mother Theresa, Maya Angelou, Dr. Martin Luther King and other noted human rights leaders.
