Event Description: ‘All in the Family – The Roosevelts: Gilded Humanity’ Lecture Series Opens Jan. 19 Muskegon Community College history instructors George Maniates and Kurt Troutman are hosting “All in the Family – The Roosevelts: Gilded Humanity,” a series of lectures that provide a revealing discovery of America’s first family. The talks, which are free and open to the public, take place from 7-8 p.m. at the Spring Lake District Library, 123 East Exchange St., Spring Lake, MI 49456. The series opens on Tuesday, Jan. 19, with “Theodore Roosevelt: Uncomfortable Retirement.” The next talk, “Franklin Roosevelt: Life in the Chair,” takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
