Event Description: Learn about the ongoing restoration of Muskegon Lake and the history of the changes to the lake's shoreline. The two hour tour aboard the W.G.Jackson will highlight several sites along the lake including Ruddiman Creek, the former site of the Lakey Foundry, and the former site of Pigeon Hill. This is a joint project with the GVSU Annis Water Resources Institute. The tour is for ages 7 and older and participants need to stand for the duration. The cost is $10 per person. Directions:
The Lakeshore Museum Center is located at 430 W. Clay Avenue at the corners of Fourth Street. The GVSU Annis Water Resources Institute is located at 740 W. Shoreline Drive alongside Heritage Landing. The boat will depart at 5:30 pm.
