Date: 4/22/2017 Time: 1:00 PM TO 2:00 PM 3560 Memorial Dr Muskegon, MI 49445 Phone: 231-828-5962 Event Description: Join us at Duck Lake State Park for a Spring Beach Clean-up. Wear appropriate clothing. We will provide rubber gloves but you can also bring thicker work gloves. We will also provide trash bags and water. Our bad weather date is April 29th at the same time. We will have giveaways for your time and generosity. Please share this fun and rewarding event with your friends and family. Thank you Participants enhance beaches by picking up trash and recording their findings in the Alliance for the Great Lakes’ online Adopt-a-Beach™ system. This information is logged into the Adopt-a-Beach™ online system, made accessible to the public and shared with local beach health officials as well as others working toward improvements. Last year volunteers in all of the Great Lakes States picked up 37,581 pounds of trash by 14,926 volunteers at a total of 348 sites. 85% of the trash picked up was plastic. The item that was found the most was plastic cigarette filters. The oddest things found included a horseshoe, a tractor tire and a wig.
