There are two work process tools in TWI. Job Instructions specifies one way to do the work and how to train people accordingly. Job Methods improves the work when better results are needed. In this workshop, participants practice improving a work process using the Job Methods tool. Each step in the work process is scrutinized to find wastes that can be eliminated. The most common wastes removed from processes include: any time the product is waiting, duplicate steps (often caused by reworking errors or defects), and using more materials than necessary. Participants should select three work processes within their business to improve with TWI: Job Methods upon completion of this workshop.
