Art Nouveau: Age of Elegance explores an influential art and design movement that emerged in the early 1900s. Art Nouveau, meaning “new art” in French, was a reaction against mass-produced goods and industrial design, aiming instead to bring beauty, craftsmanship, and artistic expression into everyday life.

Join us at Hackley Library for a calming program of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention.

This recurring program will be on Tuesday mornings at 11:00am.

This form of Tai Chi is less physically vigorous than traditional Tai Chi, and focuses on smooth, controlled movements that are particularly suitable for older practitioners, or those with mobility issues.

Class Highlights:

Accessibility: This class is easier on the knees and joints. You can successfully participate while sitting in a chair—no getting down on the floor!
Structure: We begin with a gentle warm-up (seated first, then standing if comfortable), followed by 40-45 minutes of step-by-step form instruction, and a brief cool-down.

It is recommended to wear shoes during this program.

Your Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification must be renewed every 2 years.

MIOSHA rules require a person with a valid first aid certificate on each job site. First aid and emergency preparedness is an essential component of every employer’s Accident Prevention Program. At least one employee at every job site must be trained and ready to provide first aid treatment in an emergency situation, and must be present at the work site during construction activities.

Instructor will provide training and certification for those who have not yet been certified as well as renewal for those that need to recertify with an all-in-one OSHA compliant First Aid and CPR Training.

Training includes: The latest EMS guidelines and updated methods on bleeding control with a NEW 2 year certification for CPR & AED and First Aid; all materials included.

SPARK! is a cultural program for people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. The program is designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support, and inspire creativity through creative engagement, workshops, and programs. SPARK! at the MMA is facilitated by Nancy Armitage.

SPARK! programs are designed for families and care partners. Pre-registration required, limited spots available. The MMA is a wheelchair accessible location.

Join us at Hackley Library for a calming program of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention.

This recurring program will be on Tuesday mornings at 11:00am.

Class Highlights:

Accessibility: This class is easier on the knees and joints. You can successfully participate while sitting in a chair—no getting down on the floor!
Structure: We begin with a gentle warm-up (seated first, then standing if comfortable), followed by 40-45 minutes of step-by-step form instruction, and a brief cool-down.

It is recommended to wear shoes during this program.

This program is FREE to enjoy. Registration is preferred. Register at hackleylibrary.org

DTE Energy Foundation Holiday Meal 12/17/2025

Adults aged 60 and older are invited to join us for the annual, no cost DTE Energy Foundation Holiday Meal on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, held at one of our 10 meal site locations across Muskegon and Ottawa counties.

Enjoy a festive and delicious meal featuring cranberry brie stuffed chicken breast, smashed red skin potatoes and gravy, Prince Charles vegetables, fresh Caesar salad, cinnamon applesauce, peanut butter pie and a beverage. All served with holiday decorations, cheerful company and plenty of seasonal joy.

Reservations are required and space is limited. Reservations open November 10 - December 5, 2025.

- To reserve your spot at the Driftwood Cafe at Tanglewood Park, please call 2-1-1 during their regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm).

- For all other meal site locations, please contact the respective site listed with its address and phone number on the attached picture.

Located at 639 W Clay Ave, IndiGrow prides itself on the seed to sale process of its products, which are sure to enhance your artistic experience! Our instructor will walk you step-by-step through the painting process, no prior experience necessary! While you may not smoke in the facility, there is an outdoor consumption area, and guests should feel free to step outside whenever they would like as long as it doesn't disturb instruction.
